Hundreds of citizen journalists, media and political strategists, public officials, educators, technologists and bloggers convened June 29-July 1, 2006 at the University of Massachusetts Amherst for a roundtable summit and conference organized by the school's Media Giraffe Project. The program for "Democracy and Independence: Sharing of News and Politics in a Connected World" includes five tracks over three days. Conference online registration is now open.
