June 29-July 1, 2006 conference at UMass Amherst aims to unite media, political, education, technology sectors in charting the future of journalism
Hundreds of citizen journalists, media and political strategists, public officials, educators, technologists and bloggers convened June 29-July 1, 2006 at the University of Massachusetts Amherst for a roundtable summit and conference organized by the school's Media Giraffe Project. The program for "Democracy and Independence: Sharing of News and Politics in a Connected World" includes five tracks over three days. Conference online registration is now open.
