Leaders of local "citizen media" efforts gather in Maryland to trade notes on the field

Some 60 or more leaders of local "citizen media" websites are gathering in College Park, Md.,for a chance to update each other on their operations. The one-day event, on Monday, Oct. 24, is organized by the Institute for Interactive Journalism and billed as a chance to exchange advice, ideas among citizen-media advocates and editors.
