Security, privacy, copyright topics at Internet Society confab

Some 600 of the world's top technology leaders are gathered outside Washington, D.C., this week for a meeting of the Internet Society. Companies are inhibiting innovation, argued Vincent Cerf, a co-founder of the society. Others discussed topics such as intellectual property, online security, privacy, telephony standards, and the role of governments in the Internet's future, wrote The Washington Post's Ellen McCarthy.
