MGP COLLABORATes in 2007 ON THREE EVENTS
for
journalists, teachers, citizens
The Media Giraffe Project is collaborating on three events in April,
July and
August of 2007:
- On April 7, 2007, the New
England News Forum, an MGP effort, convenes its first regional
meeting
of citizens, teachers, students, journalists and bloggers entitled:
"The
New(s) England Revolution: From Politics to Courtroom to
Classroom."
- From July 2-6, 2007, the
MGP
is
collaborating with Tufts
University and the Center
for 21st Century Skills on a summer workshop for middle-
and high-school teachers. It will help them share tools and craft
ideas for classroom integration of news and creative multmedia that
fosters active citizenship and civic engagement. It will convene at
Tufts -- next to Cambridge and Boston,
from July 2-6. Bookmark and return to http://wwww.mediagiraffe.org/tufts
after March 1.
- On Aug. 8-9, 2007, the MGP
will
convene with the Journalism
that Matters consortium in Washington, D.C., a day-and-one-half
consideration of the question: "What
will happen when only journalism remains?" The dialogue
will
occur just before the tart of the annual
meeting of the Assoc. for Education in Journalism and Mass
Communication (AEJMC).
