MEALS/RESTAURANTS: Included or on-your-own options available

Continental breakfast and full lunch and dinners will be provided during Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning conference periods and are included in the cost of regular registration.

There's a "no-food" option for the budget conscious. Pay for meals a-la-carte at the campus BlueWall cafeteria, in the same building as the conference -- or bring your own -- and you can register for all conference events, including receptions and seating at after-meal discussions, for $250. Simply write "no-food-$250" in the "other information" field when registering online.

Included Meals
The following meals/receptions are included in the $395.00 registration:

  • WEDNESDAY, June 28 -- afternoon arrivals
    -- 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. reception for TRACK ONE participants (cash beer/wine bar)
-- Dinner Amherst Room, 10th Floor of Campus Center  (TRACK ONE)
  • THURSDAY, June 29 -- Track One sessions
-- Continental breakfast (TRACK ONE ONLY)
-- Buffet lunch w/speaker (TRACK ONE ONLY)
    -- 6:30 p.m.-7:15 p.m.  reception (ALL REGISTRANTS) (cash beer/wine bar)
-- DINNER Campus Center Amherst Room 10th Floor (TRACK 1 ONLY)
  • FRIDAY, June 30 -- Tracks 1-5 sessions
    -- Continental breakfast (ALL PARTICIPANTS)
-- Sit-down lunch, with speaker (ALL PARTICIPANTS)
    -- 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. reception (ALL REGISTRATIONS) (cash beer/wine bar)
    --
    7:30 p.m. -9:30 p.m. keynote dinner w/speaker (ALL REGISTRANTS)
  • SATURDAY MORNING, July 1 -- Tracks 1-5 sessions
    -- Continental breakfast (ALL PARTICIPANTS)
-- Box lunch (tracks 1-5 registrants)

The Five College Area of Amherst-Northampton has dozens of dining options for Thursday or Saturday nights.

Conference participants who choose University Residence Hall lodging will find in addition to the BlueWall Cafe -- (413) 577-0302 -- an extended-hours dinning commons open for three meals daily which accepts cash. However, the dining common is about a one-mile walk from the resident hall so the BlueWall cafe (open from breakfast through 7 p.m.) is the better option. Downtown Amherst, also less than a mile walk, has many fine restaurants.
